Good evening, whenever you are.

The title of today’s message is the full text of Footnote No. 1 of Chapter 24 of the famous whale hunt novel MOBY DICK (or The Whale).

What does it mean? I don’t know… we will find out together when I read that chapter to you up in the SECRET ROOM at the top of the stairs.

Plus I will talk to you about THE TRAITORS and I will ask you your opinion about a famous painting.

But first, here is a photo of a cat having a midlife crisis that hit me hard in the pet food store the other day.

I posted it to instagram, but maybe you don’t feel like being part of the meta-verse these days, so here you go:

Ordinary feline feelings and vulnerabilities.

If you took this photo, let me know. I really commend you for capturing this cat’s 100,000 yard stare into the existential abyss of mid-life. I get it, Tammy. I really do.

(I have decided this cat’s name is Tammy.)

And now second, some FILTHY PROMOTION.

As I have mentioned, JUDGE JOHN HODGMAN is returning to Canada for the first time in YEARS, to be followed by live shows in Seattle, Portland (OREGON), San Francisco, and LA.

The Los Angeles show is sold out, and we’re getting close to selling out the others, so if you know anyone who would like to go, here are some DIRECT LINKS you can share with those humans:

1/29 in VANCOUVER, BC

1/30 in SEATTLE, WA

2/1 in PORTLAND, OR

&

2/2 in SAN FRANCISCO

These are our last scheduled live shows for the foreseeable future, so pls let the people know.

Thus ends the PROMOTION, and now it is time to ascend the stairs to the SECRET ROOM so we can learn about ordinary human feelings and other mysteries. See you up there, if you’re coming, and if you’re not, see you OUT THERE IN LIFE.

I hope you’re doing as ok as possible, no matter what.

The rest of this message is secret.
